COLETTE, SW London

“A touch of decadence, a twist of classic cuisine and a pinch of ‘je ne sais quoi.”

Co-founded by Dimitri and Mira, Colette attributes its namesake to Dimitri’s grandmother who brought a real sense of joie de vivre, and an eye for uncompromising quality to the family table. Colette hired Nefarious Design to transform a worn down charity shop into a high-end deli-come-restaurant for the local residence.

The external design was based around European outside dining with ‘people watching’ being its major influence, using the iconic Colette green in the new facade colour and bespoke branded awnings. Internally we designed a bespoke bread window display made of brass and mesh to show off the freshly baked goods. The counter itself is a classic tiled deli style, with an inbuilt trough for dry goods and a brass and glass enclosure.
